God is Our Majestic Creator

What an interesting Texas “winter” we are having! I believe it may be the warmest November through January that we have had in my nearly four years in Conroe. By this time over the last few years, we had already experienced multiple hard freezes. I moved my plants into my garage weeks ago and feel that there is not really much that I am protecting them from.

Some people are grateful for the more tepid temperatures. Others are waiting with bated breath for more frost on the ground. In which camp do you fall? Even with the unpredictability of the weather, we can be thankful for a Creator Who holds all things together.

Psalm 104 proclaims that God is our majestic Creator. He crafts each one of the seasons, even ones that seem just the same as the others. He sustains all living things. The Psalmist exalts the Creator, exclaiming, “He set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved (Psalm 104:5).”

How many are your works, Lord!
   In wisdom you made them all;
    the earth is full of your creatures.
I will sing to the Lord all my life;
    I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
 May my meditation be pleasing to him,
as I rejoice in the Lord.
Psalm 104:24, 33-34

Our Creator is to be extolled! Not only did He initiate the act of creating the world for His glory and in His infinite wisdom, but He also provides for the needs of living beings. He has a marvelous plan for holding the world together. He masterfully provides for His creation.

In relation to the majesty and splendor of God, our responses toward Him are inadequate and can never fully express His worth. But, what proper reaction could there possibly be but to praise our Creator and Sustainer!? Our hearts should remain humbled and in awe. Surrender and worship are due to Him.

No matter our circumstances or environment, we have countless reasons to praise the Lord! May we rejoice in Him in every season.

Love in Christ,
Adam
