The commission of Christ to His followers is simple: make disciples, teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded (Matthew 28:19-20). We call this process discipleship. Discipleship starts with pointing a person to Jesus so that they receive Him as Savior, then we help them to follow Jesus by faith the rest of their lives. As they walk in loving obedience, the Holy Spirit transforms them into the image of Christ.

We aim to practice Relational Disciple-making at Conroe Bible Church. Our goal is to build relationships which set the table for transformation. The best examples in our lives are people who live what they believe. We love and challenge one another to crawl toward the Light and let Jesus remake us in His image. When we are walking with integrity and passion for Christ, we have a life to share. We can say with Paul, "Follow me as I follow Christ." (1 Corinthians 11:1)

We believe the most compelling examples are people who care deeply for us. When we honestly love one another we speak into the heart of one another. Paul and Silas modeled this style of discipleship in Thessalonica, "having a fond affection for you, not only did we give you the gospel, but we have our lives as well." (1 Thessalonians 2:6-12) We seek to pursue one another with hearts that seek the best, pointing each other toward Jesus.

Relational Disciple-making is possible in a family that loves one another. Though most people default to google life skills and knowledge, what they need is the practical wisdom of someone that cares for them. You see, everyone disciples others all the time. We challenge each other to be intentional in our discipleship to Jesus. We seek to take advantage of opportunities to practice life in Christ together -- life truths that cannot be gained on the internet.

Will you join us in becoming like Jesus?
