Bible Study

Bible Studies are held weekly by CBC's Men's and Women's Ministry, both on and off campus.

We offer a wide variety of Bible studies to help you grow in your knowledge of God’s Word and in your relationship with Him. Whether you’re a new believer, a long-time follower of Christ, or just curious to learn more, join us! If you have questions, please contact the church office and one our Pastors will help you.

Men's Bible Study

We will start a new Men’s Bible Study on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The study is “James: Guidelines for A Happy Christian Life”, from the John MacArthur Bible Study series. It is a twelve-week study. We meet at the church from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, starting with fellowship, followed by discussion.

In this short and powerful book, James gives us practical guidance on issues that measure our living faith and spiritual fruitfulness. He encourages us to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only,” to “draw near to God,” and “to be patient.”
For the study, you will need a study guide. You may purchase it for $7.00 through the church. They will be more expensive elsewhere.

Contact Steve Hartzell for more information at sphartzell@gmail.com or in person on Sunday mornings.

Women’s Bible Study

  • Jonah:  Navigating a Life Interrupted, by Priscilla Shirer.
    7 week Study
    March 13 - April 24
    Thursday Mornings - 9:30-11:30 am
    Thursday Evenings - 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Interruptions. They're aggravating. But how we handle interruptions actually tells us more about ourselves. What do we do when God interrupts our lives? Many times, like Jonah, we run!  This Bible study redefines “interruption” as God's invitation to do something new in your life.
When Jonah was willing to allow God to interrupt his life, the result was revival in an entire city.

    Books are $10

Smaller, Weekly Bible Studies

We do have several smaller groups that meet weekly for Bible study and fellowship. (Don't let this confuse you, these are not our Small Groups.) Some of these smaller group Bible studies take place off campus and meet at a local restaurant, and others meet at the church. You can find these weekly groups and the details by checking our Calendar. There are no signups needed. If one looks right to you, feel free to show up; or you may call the church and we can help you get connected.
