As Creator, God exhibited His plan and sovereignty when He made mothers. By His design, they care for the heart of a child. Mothers spend countless hours selflessly caring for us when we are being raised. They fill many different roles: teacher, voice of wisdom, and They also emote and empathize with us. For me, it brings great joy to be able to laugh with my mom, particularly on one of our numerous adventures. At some of my lowest points in life, she has wept alongside me.

The impact of a mother is profoundly deepened when she follows the Lord. Mothers who are believers are able to instill in us the love for God’s Word. God has the power to mightily use the prayers of a righteous woman. If you do not have a godly mother, hopefully the Lord has blessed you with other godly women in your life.

A godly woman is to be honored (Exodus 20:12). “But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised” (Prov. 31:30). Numerous times throughout scripture, it is made evident that it is a blessing from God when a woman becomes a mother (Psalm 113:9, Psalm 139:13-14). The comfort that God gives His children is compared to that of a mother (Isaiah 66:13). God is worthy of praise because of His creation of motherhood. Let’s exalt the Lord for the immeasurable gift of mothers!
