Baptism & Communion

We believe that Christ instituted the ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper which are to be observed by believers until He returns. (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

If you would like, you can read more about what we believe.

At CBC we observe Communion on the 4th Sunday of each month during our 10:30am worship service. We often change up the style we might use or how we might hand out the bread and juice, but our time of Communion is always open to all who profess faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We use these times to remember Jesus’s sacrifice and atonement on the cross and to look forward to His return. (And don’t worry our bread is always gluten free!)

Baptism is an important step in the life of a believer in Jesus. We believe it to be an opportunity for followers of Jesus to stand before friends and family and testify to their faith in Jesus. We have a baptismal in our sanctuary and you can schedule a baptism most any Sunday. If you or your child are interested in being baptized, please contact the church office to schedule a meeting with one of our pastors. At the meeting we will discuss the purpose of baptism and ask you why you want to be baptized. We will also walk through what to expect when you get baptized and schedule the big day!
